Ai, om te lees hoe hierdie pragtige olifant uiteindelik gered is, maak mens se dag.
Cher het vir jare probeer om dié eensame olifant weer hoop te gee. Dinsdag het Kavaan se nuwe lewe begin in Kulen Prum Tep Wildlife Sanctuary in Odder Meanchey.
Volgens Reuters was Cher dáár om te sien hoe Kaavan sy nuwe tuiste leer ken.
" She was there to see him beginning to explore his new home and said: "You know this is amazing for him... his life is going to be the life of an elephant and not the life of a prisoner."
Ai, om te sien hoe pragtige Kavaan aan sy eerste maatjie geraak het, roer mens se hartsnare.

Die NEW YORK POST het die volgende berig;
"Kaavan was seen greeting another elephant, reaching his trunk out to touch theirs through the bars of his enclosure Tuesday at his new home in northern Cambodia. It was the first time that the Asian elephant made contact with a member of his own species in eight years."
